601 – 607 Milner Avenue Delsan-AIM successfully decommissioned and demolished a large warehouse and adjoining office building near a 16-lane highway in Toronto, Ontario. The two-storey office building, with a 14,400 ft² footprint, featured reinforced concrete walls, foundations, and steel framing with precast concrete exterior panels. The 256,700 ft² warehouse, connected to the office by a walkway, had reinforced concrete foundations, grade slabs, and precast framing for its second floor and roof, with exterior precast concrete panels. 541 Kipling Avenue The project involved the decommissioning and demolition of a 432,000 ft² single-storey warehouse (24.5 ft high) and a 2,300 ft² ancillary building (15 ft high). The warehouse, with some mezzanine floors, had a steel frame, metal deck roof supported by open-web steel joists, and precast panel exterior walls. The ancillary building featured precast framing and a precast roofing system. A nearby railway spur line north of the buildings was protected during demolition. February 2022 – November 2022 |
